Overview

    The Archives was established in July 1995.It’s a functional department for archives work as well as a service organization for preservation and utilization  of archives.It occupies a floor space of 350 square meters and consists of three sections: the collection and arrangement section,  the utilization section and the computer service section.There are 2 fonds (Ocean University of Qingdao and Shandong University) divided into 10 categories totalized 17567 volumes. These files serve as a reference for teaching,reseach and management of the University.In paticular, the data of marine and aquatic research have played an important role in such projects as the deve lopment of the “Huanghe River Delta”and the construction of “Shandong on Sea”.There are 12 staff members in the Archives including 2 professors,1 associate professor and 6 lectures. They have compiled Thesis Abstracts of Doctors and Masters,Introduction of  Fonds,Organization Evolution,Major Events in the Qingdao Ocean University History etc.
